Firstly, is the controversy from the blood transfusion? This medical procedure has been crucial in the saving of many lives as well as taking some lives down. However the compatibility of blood type that makes free blood transfusion complex. Different human beings have got particular components in their blood that can develop several immune and allergic effects. There are also various infections such as Hepatitis B, HIV viruses that can be transferred to the blood during the transfusion (Lederer, 2008).

These diseases are always life-threatening. Furthermore, with the modern test carried out on the compatibility of blood type, the method of blood transfusion is still severe with vigilant thoughts of advantages and impediments. Some religious groups like Jehovahs Witnesses are against the transfusion of blood as they take blood to be a holy stuff which is difficult to submit it to another person. From the practical perspective, the task of the blood for oxygen transportation is much complex that we dont get the accurate means and cannot yet innovate the same artificial substance.

The theory of consequentialism is important in this controversy as the outcomes are highly valued (Barcalow, 2006). Blood transfusion is carried out to prevent the occurrence of death from excess blood loss. This practice is supported by beneficence principle which requires the doctor to do best for the individual patient. Secondly, is the organ transplantation? This involves replacement of the individual damaged body organ with an effective organ. The person donating the organ might be a dead person or an individual from the family willing to donate the organ (Veatch, 2000).

Organ transplantation has also come with issues of criminals like kidnapping individuals and trading their organs. The recipient may later undergo some problems of organ denunciation or from serious side effects of medications given to prevent reactions. This practice
