Wesfarmers Australia is one such firm that has successfully created a halo effect in the market and revealed itself as one of the top players in the market place. The company was established in the 1914 as a co-operative organization for the farmers of Australia (Wesfarmers, 2014a). The activities of the company focus on providing high returns to their shareholders. The company made major progress during the 1950s with the help of diversified business expansion. The growth of the company increased the value of its shares and finally Wesfarmers Limited was listed in the Australian Securities Exchange in the year 1984.

In the contemporary scenario, Wesfarmers are engaged in energy production from coal, agriculture, LPG distribution, hardware retailing, and infrastructure supplying and insurance. Westfarmers believe in building their business process on the basis of the core values of their firm. They try to reflect integrity, transparency, accountability and boldness to their stakeholders. Wesfarmers basic aim has always been to provide a high return to their shareholders. They try to focus on the growth of the company by diversifying their business process.

The company aims to satisfy the needs of its consumers by providing a quality product base that is at par with market standards. Wesfarmers have segmented their organizational objectives in order to focus on both internal and external business responsibility in a specific manner (wesfarmers, 2014b). The try to enhance organisational performance by creating a motivating work environment for the employees which is performance oriented and creates future scope for the performers. Wesfarmers fulfils its corporate social responsibilities by creating economic prosperity for its market places.
